This week was a happy week. The Steam Deck I preordered over a year ago finally came in! After it came in I decided to do the most logical thing with it… I downloaded all of the NEKOPARA games on it! For the most part, all of the NEKOPARA games can be played uncensored on Steam. The only one that does not have uncensored DLC is Volume 4. It was released during a confusing time when it was not known what was allowed on Steam. Back in 2018 Valve flagged a few anime games for violating their rules on nudity. The group “Christine Love” claimed responsibility. After developers reached out Valve seems to have told the developers to disregard the message and keep the games on Steam. At the time of writing I looked up the games listed in the above article and they are all still up. Except for games published by Dharker Studios they also seem to be uncensored or have uncensored patches on Steam. It looks like Dharker Studios went through hard times and removed all patches for their self-published games. That said there are plenty of adult games on Steam now and I wonder if the adult patch could be released now. For now, NEKOPARA Vol. 4 needs to be patched manually. Hopefully, that can be done on the Steam Deck!
