I just caught up on the first two episodes of season two of “Don’t Toy with me, Miss Nagatoro”. This season is rightfully called the “second attack” and picks up right where season one left off. The events of the cultural festival have brought Nagatoro and her senpai closer together. She still cannot resist teasing the poor boy but also fails to think her plans through…
I still find the heart of the series charming. Although some of the situations Nagatoro and Hachiouji find themselves in might seem too spicy for high-school kids everything works out in the context of the show. Nagatoro only messes with Hachiouji because she truly trusts him and even though she gets on his nerves he is happy to have made a friend who accepts him. In the end, the cuteness of their relationships overrides the pervy situations they find themselves in. Also, before I forget Nagatoro appears in her catgirl cosplay in the opening theme song and her friends also wear it in the end credits. That means catgirls are in every episode!
