After doing some digging it appears the story of Nikke has a lot of familiar beats. Humanity is doomed and our only hope is to convert women and children into Nikke. The Nikke are androids built to fight the mysterious machines that have taken over Earth. Although this story seems familiar on the surface there is a lot more going on in this world. The Nikke are highly discriminated against and there is a growing movement for Nikke rights. Looking at the Nikke article on Fandom there is a lot of history behind the relationship between them and humans…
That is enough about humans let’s talk about cats! Nero is a Nikke assigned to the Happy Zoo. As you can guess she loves cats! This is why she has a cat-like appearance. She has an entire story event taking place now that is about her trying to shelter a stray cat. I am not going to lie this sounds interesting. Combined with everything else I have read today I’m starting to look at “Goddess of Victory: Nikke” in a different light. There might be more to this game than guns and butts…
