Here at Cat[girl]urday we are always asking “What counts as catgirl related?”. We believe that all kemonomimi girls should be counted [except bunnies]. During our search, we discovered an anime airing during the summer season called セントールの悩み [Centaur’s Worries] or A Centaur’s Life in the west. It just started airing last week and is based on a manga by Kei Murayama. The first half of the episode seems like a normal slice of life with a monster girl twist. Things take a dark tone in the beginning of the second half during a lesson on evolution. In this world creatures with six limbs evolved into humans instead of creatures with four. This lead to the formation of four main species. The first includes cat, goat, and faun people. The second includes angel and dranconids. The third includes centaurs and would include weretigers but they are extinct. The last group is merpeople. Sadly they do not all get along and their society can be quite strict. They are taught that peace comes before civil liberties and even life. Things would have been different if the four limbed creatures evolved into humans. They would only have different color hair, skin, and eyes. Surely a world like this would be less likely to face discrimination…
