Much to my surprise, I was able to get caught up on That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime. Even more surprising was getting to see Kumara return in human form. I am not going to lie; it has been a while since we last saw her in the anime. I actually had to look her up to remember who she was!
Kumara first showed up as a member of the Five Fingers. The group served as the primary henchmen of the villain Clayman during Season Two. Kumara did not serve him willingly, however. She was instead under a curse. When Clayman was defeated, Rimuru was able to free her from the curse and take her in. While living in Tempest, Kumara was able to find happiness with the children there.
In the latest season, we get to see Kumara return. She is with the children Rimuru mentors, but something is different… She no longer looks like a fox cub and now resembles a human child.
We do not get to see much more of her this season, but from what I have read, this is not the last we will see of Kumara. I don’t want to spoil anything, but she will apparently play a bigger role in the future of Tempest.
I cannot wait to see her return in future seasons!
