Marvel Rivals has just gotten even better! Yesterday, Season 7.5: The Hunt Is On launched, bringing Black Cat in as a playable character. Long-time readers of this blog already know that Felicia Hardy holds a special place in my heart. As a long-time fan of both Spider-Man and catgirls, this feline femme fatale has always been a standout Western catgirl favorite. From what I have seen so far, Marvel Rivals is doing her justice.
Looking at the synopsis for The Hunt Is On, it seems that Black Cat has been hired by Wilson Fisk to steal a mysterious stone tablet. He believes it may help him save New York from the growing influence of the Alchemax Corporation. However, this plan has drawn the attention of White Fox, who is breaking into the city to rescue Luna Snow.
In-game, Black Cat is a fast and fierce Duelist. She has abilities that let her move quickly around the battlefield and close the gap with her enemies. Not only can she scale walls, but she can also inflict misfortune on those who cross her path. She looks like an absolute blast to play.
That said, I never had the chance to get into Marvel Rivals myself. The game looks fantastic, and I love what they have been doing with Marvel’s heroes. I’m especially looking forward to the fan art and cosplay this version of Felicia will inspire. If you’ve been playing Marvel Rivals, let me know how Black Cat is being received!
