We are reaching the end of April, and with it, the rain is finally beginning to clear. The skies brighten, flowers bloom, and puddles reflect the colors of a fresh spring day.
To celebrate, here is some art by Kirina Zero featuring Niki from Infinity Nikki. She is wearing the Momo Rain outfit as the storm fades, standing beside a pool of water that mirrors the surrounding flowers in full bloom.
Infinity Nikki is an action-adventure game with dress-up elements, and the first in the Nikki series to appear on consoles and PC. While I am not very familiar with the series, I did check out IGN’s review. At its core, it appears to be an open-world experience focused on exploration, with few restrictions on where players can go. Collecting outfits is central to gameplay, as each one unlocks new abilities. Despite being a gacha-style game, it seems you can complete it without spending money.
Like many popular releases, the game has not been without controversy. Its Steam launch was affected by various bugs, and the developer faced criticism for censoring the word “boycott” in official communities. This led players to jokingly organize a “girlcott” instead. Since then, the developer has apologized and shared plans for fixes, optimization, and player compensation.
Rain or shine, a catgirl always seems to find the perfect place to enjoy the moment. As April winds down and the skies clear, take a cue from Niki. Slow down, enjoy the view, and step into the weekend with a little extra color.
So what do you think?
