I cannot believe it is that time of the year again! Every year on the week of the 28th of July we celebrate Catgirl Week. This week commemorates the anniversary of the first Cat[girl]urday post. I am sure there are many people out there who wonder why anyone would celebrate a little know blog’s lesser-known feature. I can give you my two personal reasons.
The first is simply habit. When you get used to doing something it almost becomes as essential as breathing. For me blogging about catgirls is my breathing. Instead of taking in oxygen and putting out carbon dioxide I look up catgirl-related art and create blog posts. I have been doing it for so long that not doing it would feel unnatural.
The second reason is personal passion. Cat[girl]urday has been running consistently for so long that it gives me a personal sense of pride. It has been a constant in my life that has surpassed many others. Just the other day I had a friend ask me if I still did Cat[girl]urday. He told me he did not see them on Facebook anymore. The fact that he noticed it was missing made me a little bit happy. It may not be popular and may never trend but Cat[girl]urday will always be special to me. That is why I celebrate Catgirl Week every year.
