It is April and this month is known for one thing. Soon the April showers will begin and they are not always fun. Even a WWII destroyer needs an umbrella to stay dry. Like with other girls from Azur Lane it is always fun to read about the real world ships that inspired them… Until you get to the end… Of the Asashio-class destroyers, as you would expect Asashio was the first. She was completed on August 31, 1937, and only saw 6 Aprils before being sunk in the Battle of the Bismarck Sea. Asashio was sunk on the 4 of March 1943 just a month before April. Hopefully, things turn out better for her in the world of Azur Lane…
