Over the summer the low budget anime Kemono Friends became a sleeper hit. Shortly after the show’s number one animal fan also became famous. Grape-kun the Humboldt Penguin became known around the world for falling in love with a cardboard cutout of Hululu. Anime fans around the world saw it as the cutest thing ever. Even animals cannot resist moe! Sadly the otaku penguin passed away this week. Grape-kun was a real-life Kemono Friend. Rest in Peace Grape-kun.
