Even though season two of Delicious in Dungeon is still over a year away, we have some clean manga cover art to enjoy. This is thanks to inkeatons on Tumblr, who was able to find these amazing works buried in the files of an Italian website. The one that really stood out to me features Izutsumi front and center. It comes from volume seven and features the members of Laios’ party falling through the titular dungeon. There is even more to see when you take a closer look.
It is clear that Laios and the gang are falling through a floor of the dungeon. At first, it looks like Izutsumi is ready to strike with some ninja-like blades. However, a closer look reveals that she is actually holding meat skewers! In fact, there is food flying around with the entire party. Considering they survive on whatever they can find in the dungeon, it is easy to believe they were dropped while eating a meal. Even though I can’t remember the exact scene, this feels like something that happened in season one…
Season two is officially expected to come out in October 2027. It should pick up around volume nine of the manga, where the last season left off. I can’t wait to see what else they will cook up while searching for Laios’ sister. I also can’t wait to see more Izutsumi!
