Cat[girl]urday: Celebrating Sekhmet Saturday in Palworld 1.0

Due to my love of Nekomimis I have decided to post something catgirl related each week! It maybe cute. It maybe sexy. It may even be a bit disturbing…

Palworld officially left Early Access yesterday, and to celebrate we’re taking part in Sekhmet Saturday! Sekhmet is a new feline Pal named after the Egyptian goddess. Her fierce reputation and regal appearance make her a fitting inspiration for one of Palworld’s newest additions, and she pairs perfectly with Anubis both thematically and in gameplay.

Gameplay-wise, Sekhmets are incredible base workers, boasting Level 6 Handiwork alongside Level 3 Mining and Level 2 Transporting. Their Partner Skill increases Anubis’ work speed by 20% and boosts efficiency by 30% when working at a workbench or similar facility. They’re not just limited to base work either. They’re also highly effective in combat. As you might expect, you can find them in one of the game’s desert regions, but I won’t spoil exactly where.

Pocketpair did a great job building excitement for this Pal on Twitter. They even referenced the newly announced God of War game before following up with several posts showing Sekhmet being adorable and dancing. They also created Sekhmet Saturday to encourage players to share their own content. As you probably know by now, I never need an excuse to post about catgirl-related things on a Saturday!

I’ve had a lot of fun with Palworld throughout Early Access, and I can’t wait to jump into Version 1.0. Despite the controversy, I still feel like the game has a soul all its own. If you get the chance, give it a try. Pocketpair not only kept the game’s original price after launch but also put it on sale for 30% off through July 23.

So what do you think?
