Season 4 of My Hero Academia is finally out! While watching the first episode this morning I thought about something. Ochako is like a reverse Sakura from Naruto. I never finished Shippuden but I can see where the “Sakura is useless” argument comes from. It is not so much that she is useless but more that she is never lived up to her potential. Back during the chunin exams and the end of Naruto, she promised to get stronger but instead takes on a supportive role. Many find this turn disappointing especially considering how strong she is.
Ochako, on the other hand, has a simple non-combative quirk. It is because of this she first intends on avoiding the hero route when she attends UA. After meeting Deku Ochako changes her mind and starts training to overcome her weaknesses and become a hero. Although she has not had her big moment yet I look forward to seeing her grow. I hope she gets to live up to her true potential.
