Today we have a special Cat[girl]urday treat. You’ve seen sheep girls, frog girls, and even hyena girls, but have you ever seen a rhino girl? Better yet, how about one that’s also a hybrid of Ghost-Spider (Gwen Stacy)?
That’s right, while the original Clone Saga dates back to the ’90s, Marvel took another stab at the concept years later with Spider-Gwen: Shadow Clones. This series featured Gwen battling hybrid clone versions of herself mixed with iconic Spider-Man villains.
The art above is a variant cover for Spider-Gwen: Shadow Clones #4. If you try to find it on Marvel’s site, you may notice it’s missing. That’s because this cover, illustrated by Kendrick Lim, is exclusive to The 616 Comics. It’s still available through their shop in both trade dress and virgin variants.
