Due to my love of Nekomimis I have decided to post something catgirl related each week! It maybe cute. It maybe sexy. It may even be a bit disturbing…

As the old saying goes, March comes in like a lion, and that certainly seems to be holding true this year. This week alone has brought warm temperatures, cold snaps, and even thunderstorms. The weather has been so inconsistent that it almost feels like dealing with three different lions.

By a strange coincidence, we also have three lion friends from Kemono Friends to feature today!
First up is White Lion. White lions are extremely rare, with only around 300 believed to exist in the wild. Their striking white fur is caused by a natural color mutation rather than albinism. In the monologue shown in this image, White Lion complains about being hungry. She says she hasn’t eaten since breakfast and wonders why she’s having so much trouble playing hide-and-seek in the savanna. Perhaps hunting on an empty stomach isn’t the best strategy!

Next is the Barbary Lion, also known as the Atlas Lion. This subspecies was once believed to be extinct, but lions with Barbary lineage have been identified in captive breeding programs in Morocco. Historically, they were known for their impressive size. Some accounts claim they could reach lengths of up to four meters. In her monologue, Barbary Lion boasts about the pride she takes in her magnificent mane and her fighting ability. She even claims she once defeated a skilled swordsman!

Finally, we have the Cape Lion. Sadly, this subspecies is truly extinct and once roamed what is now modern-day South Africa. Like the Barbary Lion, it was known for its large size, and the two were sometimes considered the “two great stars” among lions. In her monologue, Cape Lion declares that she has made a comeback. This suggests that Japari Park may have somehow brought her back, and she confidently claims that she is stronger than ever.

I hope your March goes well. Even if it comes in like a lion, remember that it’s supposed to go out like a lamb. Until then, try not to let these three fierce felines roar too loudly!
